ไปพรางๆก็ได้ครับ ซึ่งผมขอแนะนำตัวที่เคยใช้ ดังต่อไปนี้

1) xVM Virtualbox (ของ SUN)
ถ้าลง virtualbox on window host จะช้าครับลงบน Linux หรือ Unix จะเร็วกว่า
ข้อดีคือ ลง guest ได้หลากหลาย (และฟรี)

2) VMware Server,workstation ( ของ VMware)
ลูกค้าส่วนใหญ่ชอบอกชอบใจใช้เจ้าตัวนี้อยู่แล้ว เพราะของเค้าดีจริง และทำมานาน
ลงบนอะไรก็เร็ว แถมเสถียรอีกต่างหาก ส่วนข้อเสียคือ license แพงมาก

3) Virtual PC (ของ Microsoft)
ส่วนเจ้านี้เค้าเน้นทำ support ตัวเองมากกว่า คือประมาณว่าถ้าลง window บน window
แล้ว ok มากๆ ถ้าใครลง Linux หรือ Unix แล้ว work ก็มาเล่าให้ฟังมั่งจิ...

4) Xen
อันนี้ไม่เคยใช้ครับ แต่ได้ข่าวว่าเป็นคู่แข่งที่น่ากลัวของ VMware

ข้อดี ณ ตอนนี้คือสามารถลง ubuntu ได้ในหลายๆ Hardware เพราะมี driver รองรับมากมาย
ปลอดภัยเรื่องไวรัสมากกว่า window เพราะคนพัฒนาไวรัส ก็ตั้งหน้าตั้งตาโจมตีระบบปฏิบัติการที่ฮิตๆ
อูบุนตู เวอร์ชันหลังๆ ทำออกมาสวยงามดี เพราะไปเลียนแบบ window7 กับ Mac แต่ก็ยังมีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะตัวไม่เหมือนใคร
